However, none of these approaches seem to work; Arthur is destined to get tuberculosis in the game. The only true way to avoid it is by abstaining from playing the mission altogether.
Can you prevent Arthur from getting tuberculosis RDR2?
He acquires tuberculosis from Thomas Downes during Chapter II. There’s a specific cutscene where Downes gets blood in his mouth, leading to Arthur getting infected.
